Description: The ZenWear Vest leverages Deep Pressure Stimulation (DPS) to create a calming effect for the wearer, similar to the use of weighted blankets in the autism community. The garment uses 40 evenly distributed rice filled pouches sewn into a breathable 100% cotton jacquard fabric.

I made a variation of this, mostly changing the collar and armholes to be more comfortable, but this wasn’t targeting the issue as best it could

I started with a heavy quilted blanket from the thrift store and draping it on my body to see what felt right

Finally, I moved to this more simple and approachable vest design and started testing the internal weight system
