Concept

This abstracted collaborative instrument allows four people of any level of musical experience to jam together, bringing us closer to the sounds and people we love.

I was inspired by the fun of jamming together in person and the desire to make music with my two older brothers, who don’t have much musical experience.

The Collaborator is the first-place winning submission for the SynthUX 2024 Hackathon. The hackathon is an annual global design challenge that features some of the best music technology university programs. The Collaborator is a response to the “Virtual Human Connection” prompt. All completed in four days by Julian Ferraro, Josh Thies, Nik Madhu, Ana Mahadevan, and I.
